Another Juvenile Winner for Stratum

Breednet - Tara Madgwick - Sunday, 30 January 2011

Golden Slipper winner Stratum sired his fifth Australian two year-old winner this season when the Rick Hore-Lacy trained filly Noble Twostep scored at Cranbourne on Sunday, providing a timely update for her full brother who is to be offered at the 2011 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale.

Improving from a debut second at Moonee Valley in late November, Noble Twostep showed the benefit of race experience to take the 1200 metre maiden by a length.

A $100,000 purchase from the Widden draft at the 2010 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale, Noble Twostep (pictured as a yearling) is the first winner for Second Dance, a full sister to stakes-winner Empire Dancer.

Widden Stud will offer the full brother to Nobletwostep as Lot 255 at the 2011 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale.

Stratum is the leading second season sire by Australian winners with 35 to his credit and is fast closing the gap behind current division leader Snitzel on earnings.
