Black Piranha to be sold this Friday

Dual Group 1 winner Black Piranha has been a late supplementary entry to the Inglis Sydney Spring Thoroughbred Sale, which will be conducted at Newmarket this Friday September 23.

A winner of over $2.6million in prize money, the 2009 & 2010 BRC Stradbroke Handicap victor finished 4th in last Saturday’s Group 1 George Main Stakes at Rosehill and is being sold to dissolve the current partnership.

Black Piranha will be offered as Lot 107, the last lot of Friday’s sale.

“Situations where the partnership involved in a horse needs be dissolved are unfortunate, but public auction is considered the best way of resolving any issues,” Inglis Sydney Bloodstock Director Jonathan D’Arcy said.

“Black Piranha looks well on track for a big spring carnival and we wish his new connections after Friday’s sale the best of luck for the rest of the season”.

The 2011 Inglis Sydney Spring Thoroughbred Sale will begin at 11:00am on Friday.

The sale will be broadcast on Inglis Sale Day live, with Online Bidding and Make-An-Offer available for those buyers unable to attend the Newmarket complex.
