Classic Yearlings Arriving At Newmarket

Yearlings have started arriving at Newmarket ahead of the 2012 Inglis Sydney Classic Yearling Sale, led by Emirates Park whose 16 strong draft are ready for inspection.

572 yearlings have been catalogued for the three day sale starting at 1pm this Sunday January 22, with the arrival times and parade schedule for each yearling draft available at www.inglis.com.au

“Over half the catalogue will be available for parades by Wednesday afternoon, including the drafts of Goodwood Farm and Kitchwin Hills, the Group One vendors of Classic Sale graduates Manawanui and Hurtle Myrtle,” said Inglis Director Jonathan D’Arcy.

Other Group One winners in the last twelve months that were also purchased from Classic are Ilovethiscity, Sincero, The Verminator and Secret Admirer.

89% of the yearlings catalogued to go under the hammer in Sydney next week are BOBS and BOBS Extra eligible, plus all lots offered are eligible for nomination into the $5million Inglis Race Series, which includes the $250,000 Inglis Classic restricted to Sydney Classic Sale graduates.

Favourite for this year’s $250,000 Inglis Classic, which will be run at Rosehill this Saturday, is Anthony Cumming’s $60,000 purchase Diamond Earth (by Choisir), who has won $300,000 in Inglis Race Series prizemoney so far this season thanks to victories in the Inglis Banner and Moonee Valley and Inglis Nursery at Randwick.
