Clearance Rate Highlights December Sale

Peter Moody trained stallion prospect Excelltastic topped today's Inglis Melbourne December Thoroughbred Sale on a day where 95% of horses offered were sold.

A stakes winner of over $400,000 in prize money Excelltastic (Lot 128) was sold for $47,500. The son of Exceed And Excel is Group One placed and his new owners will be hoping the entire can collect more black type on his way to the breeding shed.

From the family of the world’s top rated sprinter Black Caviar, broodmare Nordica (Lot 52) was sold to Howard Simpson for $52,000. Nordica was sold with a bay colt at foot by Magnus and in-foal to young Group One winning Danehill stallion Shinzig.

Overall, 113 horses were sold today from the 119 horses offered at a gross of $487,900.
