Deadline Looms For VOBIS Foals

Racing Victoria (RVL) has advised that Super VOBIS nominations for the 2014-born foals close next Monday, 1 February.

Super VOBIS offers connections of nominated gallopers the chance to race for more than $10 million in bonuses each racing season, with additional prizemoney available on all two and three-year-old races hosted across the state.

Further to this, once nominated for Super VOBIS, horses are eligible to be nominated for the lucrative VOBIS Gold incentive scheme, offering further incentives to horses bred and raced in Victoria.

RVL's executive general manager – racing, Greg Carpenter, noted that all 2- and 3-year-old races in Victoria carry a Super VOBIS bonus in 2015/16, commenting: "With more than $20 million of prize money and bonuses on offer across Victoria's two lucrative owners' and breeders' incentive schemes, connections now have the opportunity to increase their possible returns and maximise market interest in Victorian-bred horses."
