Inglis Graduates Dominate Slipper Order Of Entry

Ahead of this weekend’s final Golden Slipper lead up’s, Inglis yearling graduates currently dominate the order of entry for the world’s richest two-year-old race.

Of the top 20 in the current order of entry, 13 or approximately two-thirds were sold by the southern hemisphere’s leading auction house, with five of the remaining seven being home breds.

Inglis graduates also dominate entries in this weekend’s final Golden Slipper lead up’s, the Pago Pago and Magic Night Stakes’.

GOLDEN ARCHER ($80,000 Easter) currently heads the market for Saturday’s Group 2 Pago Pago Stakes at Rosehill, but will face tough opposition in WRITTEN CONSENT ($26,000 Scone) and YOU’RE CANNY ($40,000 Classic). Rounding out the five Inglis runners of the nine to line up in the 2yo event of colts and geldings are EXCEED AND EXALT ($250,000 Easter) and FLYING ZERO ($150,000 Easter).

Inglis graduates have claimed two of the last three runnings of the Group 2 Magic Night Stakes and again hold a strong hand in the 2011 renewal through favourite PANE IN THE GLASS ($32,000 Classic) along with HOMEDGE (P$30,000 Premier) and QUACKQUACK (P$27,500 Easter).

This season’s two-year-old crop look set to further enhance Inglis’ reputation as the only Australasian auction house to have sold multiple Group One winners amongst the juvenile division each year since 2006.

Easter graduates to succed at the highest level as two-year-olds in the past five seasons include Miss Finland, Forensics, Musir, Onemorenomore, Nadeem, Reaan, Mentality, Apercu, Camarilla and Samantha Miss.

ELITE FALLS, RUNNING TALL, SATIN SHOES, GOLDEN ARCHER and FOXWEDGE are currently leading contenders to add to that tally during the Sydney Carnival’s triple crown for two–year-olds.
