The Maund name is synonymous with racing and what better up-bringing then under his father – multiple Group 1 winning trainer Ron Maund.
Proven Success
Born into racing, Ricky has learnt and participated in, racing from a number of perspectives – Jockey, Foreman for his father Ron Maund, and now as a Trainer in his own right.
Rick has prepared Group and Listed winners and is always working hard to ensure horse in his care, reaches their potential.

Set in the picturesque Gippsland region of Bass, south east of Melbourne, Ricky Maund Racing has the best of everything to offer your horse.
A large private property allows horses to be in their natural environment, with the beach and Cranbourne Training Complex, right on the doorstep.
Ownership Experience
Being entrusted with our owner’s horses is a responsibility we treasure.
We ensure all of our owners are involved with their horse’s journey via regular communication including, multi-media updates, Raceday experiences and Stable open days, so owners can see the inner workings of Ricky Maund Racing
Ricky Maund
Ricky has a wealth of experience, dedication and aspiration that is second-to-none, resulting in proven results on the racetrack.
His own career started in the saddle under-going an expansive and successful career as a jumps hoop up until 2002.
He followed through his passion to then become stable foreman for his father (Ron) soon after – a person who he describes as his ‘greatest influence’.
The ability to reverse a horses form that has been trained out of a city complex – is one all to familiar to Ricky.
