The Inglis Sydney Classic Yearling Sale, a proven nursery for champions, will be held at Newmarket on January 23, 24 and 25 in 2011, with a 575-strong catalogue now online.

The catalogue can be viewed online HERE

At an average of just $30,000 few sales anywhere can boast Classic’s remarkable record in producing outstanding racehorses, capable of winning all over the world.

Group One winners Whobegotyou, Triple Honour, Pressday and Secret Admirer head this year's leading graduates that include G2 and G3 winners Whitefriars, Ilovethiscity, Chance Bye, That’s Not It, Rightfullyours and Brilliant Light. Master Harry, Parriwi, Haddle McDaddle, Becerra, M’lady Pedrille & Floramour are also Australian stakes winning graduates so far in 2010, while Any Humour & Ntini have also tasted success at Group level this season in Singapore.

The sale has an affinity for unearthing future stars for the promising young sires represented.

Pressday (Domesday), Secret Admirer (Dubawi) and Chance Bye (Snitzel) have been responsible for boosting the stud value of their young sires and join previous Classic Sale graduates such as Carry On Cutie (More Than Ready), Whobegotyou (Street Cry), God’s Own (Redoute’s Choice) and Choisir (Danehill Dancer) who were value purchases prior to their respective sires' stocks rising.

A host of promising First Season Sires are strongly represented in the 2011 catalogue, led by Australian Champion 2yo Zizou (14 lots), World Champion sprinter Henny Hughes (USA) (13), Champion Milers Excellent Art (GB) (12) & Librettist (USA) (11) & Silver Slipper winner Shaft (11).

Second Season Sires represented next year include Strada (17), Holy Roman Emperor (IRE) (11), Valixir (IRE) (8) and Excites (7).

“The quality of yearling presented at Classic continues to improve each year and buyers are reaping the rewards on the racetrack” Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster said

“With an increase in the quality of entry received we will offer 50 extra lots next year, with the sale to commence at 1pm on the Sunday”

“With $120million dollars to flow into Racing in NSW in the forthcoming years thanks to the recent favourable result in the Federal Court, there is no better time to get involved in horse racing in this state”.

In addition to the aforementioned promising young sires, the catalogue comprising 82% BOBS eligible yearlings includes a vast majority of lots by top echelon stallions.

Recent additions to the Group One sire ranks Shamardal, Domesday and Dubawi, are all represented at next year’s sale, as are proven stallions like Charge Forward, Choisir, Commands, Dane Shadow, Danzero, Encosta de Lago, Fastnet Rock , Flying Spur, General Nediym, Hussonet, Lonhro and Stratum.

The $250,000 Inglis Classic for 2010 sale graduates will be run at Rosehill the day prior to the sale on Saturday January 22. The race looms as a likely target for the Testa Rossa filly Pane In The Glass, a last start winner at Eagle Farm for trainer John Thompson, who was successful with another filly, Not A Pretender, in another $250,000 Inglis Race Series event this year.
