153 Siblings To Stakes Winners At Easter

With the Sydney Autumn Carnival well underway many Lots have received significant pedigree updates since the catalogue for the 2015 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale went to print in January.

The Inglis Bloodstock team have included 605 yearlings in this year’s catalogue, including 136 by 14 of the hottest first season sires to stand in the Southern Hemisphere, to be offered for sale on 7, 8 and 9 April.

No less than 153 half or full relations to stakes winners are among the outstanding quality in this year’s catalogue, including 47 Group 1 winners, along with the progeny 195 stakes-winning dams, 44 of which are Group 1 winners.

This season’s Australian Guineas-winner Wandjina and Hong Kong Derby-winner Luger were both sold at Easter as relations to stakes-winners, and have gone on to upgrade their female family with their successes. The progeny from stakes-winning mares also have a wonderful record at Easter, exemplified by multiple Group 1 winners Cosmic Endeavour and Able Friend.

Siblings to recent stakes performers to be sold in April include:

Lot 8 – Manhattan Rain x La Bamba Colt – Half-brother to Wandjina, winner of Group 1 VRC Australian Guineas and the Group 3 VRC CS Hayes Stakes.

Lot 56 – Redoute’s Choice x Miss Marielle Colt – Full-brother to Peeping, winner of the Listed ATC Darby Munro States (The Sebring).

Lot 114 – Northern Meteor x Princess Emmy Filly – Half-sister to Group 3 MRC Chairman’s Stakes winner Thurlow.

Lot 156 – Fastnet Rock x Satin Robes Filly – Full-sister to Listed BRC Nudgee Handicap winner, Saturn Rock.

Lot 164 – Street Cry x Seeking Attention Filly – Half-sister to Buckinghampshire, winner of the Listed Kenilworth Summer Juvenile Stakes in South Africa.

Lot 185 – High Chaparral x Silk Veil Colt – Half-brother to Scratchy Bottom, winner of the Group 3 ATC Epona Stakes.

Lot 245 – Fastnet Rock x Vormista Colt – Three-quarter-brother to Group 1 MRC Blue Diamond runner-up, Reemah.

Lot 286 – Redoute’s Choice x Apamea Filly – Three-quarter-sister to two-year-old Group 3 Canberra RC Black Opal Stakes winner, Takedown.

Lot 297 – High Chaparral x Back Pass Colt – Half-brother to Group 3 ATC Eskimo Prince Stakes winner, Scissor Kick.

Lot 321 – Sepoy x Calvinia – Half-brother to Group 3 ATC Widden Stakes winner, Fireworks.

Lot 345 – So You Think x Crevette Colt – Half-brother to Group 1 ATC Canterbury Stakes winner, Cosmic Endeavour.

Lot 410 – Snitzel x Flidais Filly – Full-sister to Sweet Idea, winner of the Group 1 ATC Galaxy Handicap.

Lot 437 – Fastnet Rock x Hips Don’t Lie Filly – Full-sister to Lake Geneva, placed in both Group 1 MRC Blue Diamond Stakes and Group 1 ATC Golden Slipper.

Lot 443 – Smart Missile x I’mtoogoodtobetrue Colt – Half-brother to Rommel, winner of the Group 3 MRC Zedative Stakes.

Lot 450 – Sepoy x Inuit Colt Colt– Half-brother to winner of the Listed SAJC Matrice Stakes, Runway Star.

Vendors will be parading their yearlings from Wednesday 1 April.

All yearlings offered at the 2015 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale are eligible to be nominated for the lucrative $5 million Inglis Race Series covering their 2YO, 3YO and 4YO racing seasons.
