Bargain Weanling Tops $200K in earnings

Tabulate will now be aimed at stronger races over the remainder of the carnival after landing a stakes breakthrough in the Listed Tails Stakes at Eagle Farm today.

TABULATE ($12,000 2005 June Weanling, 5g Honours List-Shurban) is now the winner of more than $200,000 with eight wins in 29 starts.

Today’s win was his fourth in succession – a rare feat on city tracks – and trainer Rob Heathcote will now aim him at races like the Ipswich and Tattersalls Cups later in the carnival.

Tabulate was knocked down to Paul Willets from the Widden Stud draft and began his career in New Zealand before transferring to the Heathcote stable.

The next opportunity to purchase an Inglis Weanling comes up at the Melbourne Great Southern Weanling Sale at Oaklands on May 17 and 18.

Attention will then turn to Sydney, where Newmarket hosts the Australian Weanling and Breeding Stock Sale in June.

Later, NEESON (P$65,000 2008 Easter II, 3g Mossman-Favorite Actress) tasted stakes success for a second time when proving a class above in the Listed Hawkesbury Guineas.

The Joe Pride trained gelding has now won six races in just 13 starts for earnings of $300,000.
