Encosta Filly Could Be A Jewel

Racing And Sports - Thursday, 16 June 2011

Isabelino, an unraced Encosta de Lago filly scheduled to be offered at next week's Inglis Australian Weanling and Bloodstock Sale at Newmarket, could be a future breeding jewel.

She is a half-sister to four winners including Regal Cheer, a G1 winner by the Danehill sire Arena.

Regal Cheer was sold to Darley in 2007 for $900,000 and is one of at least 130 winners in four generations produced at Lomar Park Stud from one of the stud's foundation families.

Close relations include G1 performers Regal Chamber, My Lady's Chamber, and King Pulse and Perth star Kid Choisir.

Among others members of the Isabelino family bred on Lomar Park include G1 winners Razor Sharp, Steel Blade, Super Elegant and Robian Steel.
