Inglis Easter Yearling Sale Catalogue Out

The catalogue for the 2010 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale has now been released, as updates continue to roll in for the southern hemisphere’s premier yearling auction.

The sale leads the way in terms of pedigree and racetrack performance. The Blue Diamond Prelude wins of Beneteau and Psychologist last Saturday took Easter’s Australian stakes tally in 2009-10 to 36, including five Group 1 wins.

Psychologist joined G1 VRC Oaks winner Faint Perfume and G3 Newcastle Spring Stakes heroine Lovemelikearock as stakes winners this season from the Easter Part II session.

This year’s catalogue features 614 yearlings, of which 51 are siblings to Group 1 winners and 44 are from G1 winning mares.

Weekend racing saw more lustre added to the catalogue.

Cressfield will offer a Flying Spur half-sister to Zarzuela (ex Star Satire, by Volksraad), an impressive Group 3 winner at Te Rapa last Saturday and ruling favourite for next month’s G1 New Zealand Derby, as Lot 183.

Cressfield’s draft received a double boost in NZ stakes at the weekend with Nadege also landing stakes success. Lot 345 is a Redoute’s Choice half-brother to Nadege, being from the grand mare Champagne.

Lot 82 is Waikato Stud’s Fast ‘n’ Famous colt from O’Really. Recent G3 C.S. Hayes Stakes winner Take The Rap is from a daughter of O’Really.

Talented stayer Zagreb added to his stakes tally when taking the Listed Birthday cup at Morphettville last week. Lot 375 is Vinery’s Encosta De Lago half-brother to Zagreb, while Lot 430 is a Rock Of Gibraltar filly from a half-sister to Zagreb to be offered by Bylong Park.

The wins by Beneteau, Here De Angels and Typhoon Tracy at Caulfield on Saturday also highlighted a number of Easter yearlings.

Yarraman Park have an Exceed And Excel colt from Beneteau’s grand dam Oceanfast catalogued as Lot 78 at this year’s Easter sale.

Bellerive Stud will offer a full-sister to G3 Rubiton Stakes winner Here De Angels as Lot 290 at Easter.

The Easter catalogue includes four relations to dominant G1 CF Orr Stakes winner Typhoon Tracy. Lot 107 Encosta De Lago filly from Princess Stacey; Lot 233 Redoute’s Choice filly from Urge to Merge; Lot 400 Flying Spur filly from Element Of Danger; and Lot 463 Rock Of Gibraltar colt from Hanover.
