Success Of All Types Boosts Classic Pedigrees

With five days until yearlings begin to arrive at Inglis' Newmarket Complex ahead of the 2016 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, many of the 575 Lots to be offered on 6, 7 and 8 February have received favourable updates to their pedigrees since the catalogue went to print.

Classic is renowned for the types it offers, and 2016 will offer relations to recent two-year-old winners, Classic performers, Cup runners and everything in between.

Siblings to recent two-year-old winners or stakes performers to be sold in February include:

Lot 531 - Sister to Listed ATC Carrington Stakes winner Zin Zan Eddie (1400m).
Lot 88 - Half-brother to stakes winner Boss Lane, which took out the recent ATC Summer Sprint over 1000m.
Lot 93 - Half-sister to the 3200m Group 2 Wellington Cup placegetter Sampson.
Lot 158 - Sister to Tracey Bartley’s smart 2YO winner Cudabeen (1000m).
Lot 400 - Half-brother to multiple-Doomben-winning 2YO Dieters (1050-1110m).

Siblings to recent metropolitan winners include:

Lot 48 - Half-sister to Hong Kong winner Raging Bull (1200m).
Lot 106 - Half-brother Stocks has won twice in Perth since catalogue went to print (1300-1600m).
Lot 163 – His 3YO half-sister Lopartega has won at Cranbourne and Moonee Valley since catalogue went to print (1600m).
Lot 264 - Brother to Chris Waller’s 3YO Sydney-winner Trafalgar (1500-1900m).
Lot 345 - 3YO half-brother Eagle Way has won three-in-a-row, including once at Doomben (1600-1800m).

Classic Yearlings will also be offered from the families of recent Group 1 HKJC Hong Kong Vase winner Highland Reel (Lot 73), Unbeaten Group 1 winning 3YO Perfect Reflection (Lot 325), Chris Waller’s WATC Railway Stakes winner Good Project (Lot 328) and Group 3 Blue Diamond Preview (f) winner Sword Of Light (Lot 82).

The first official inspection day is Wednesday 3 February. A complete Vendor Parade Schedule will be available online from Monday 1 February.

Selling will begin at 6pm on Saturday 6 February, and at 10am on Sunday 7 and Monday 8 February.

All yearlings offered at the 2016 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale are eligible to be nominated for the lucrative $5 million Inglis Race Series covering their 2YO, 3YO and 4YO racing seasons.
