Vilanova Among 223 Lots In Friday’s Melbourne Sale

70 supplementary entries, including Group 2 winner Vilanova, have been added to the catalogue for the Inglis March Thoroughbred Sale that will start at 11:00am this Friday 18 March 2016 at Oaklands, Melbourne.

Vilanova, Upbeat, Hard Stride, Alkaashef, Ducal Castle and Swooper are all stakes performers among the supplementary catalogue, which takes Friday’s offerings to a healthy 223 lots.

The complete catalogue is available online at inglis.com.au and on the Inglis Sales iPad App.

Lindsay Park Racing has added eight supplementary lots to the March Sale, which is already well supported with drafts from Godolphin, Bowness Stud, Eliza Park International, Malua Racing, Supreme Thoroughbreds and many others.

Broodmares to be sold include those in foal to All Too Hard, Magnus, Reward For Effort, Bullet Train, Street Boss, Sidestep, Toorak Toff, Cluster, Bon Hoffa, Walking Or Dancing, Monaco Consul, Easy Choice and Anacheeva.

Sires of the eleven foals at foot include Stryker, Bel Esprit, Domesday, Desert King, O’Lonhro, Wanted, Glass Harmonium and Elvstroem.

Yearlings by Fastnet Rock, Uncle Mo, Nicconi, Sidereus, Squamosa, Red Arrow and Lucas Cranach will be auctioned, as will stakes winning stallion prospect Late Charge.

159 lots of racing stock make up the majority of the 2016 March Thoroughbred Sale. 67 are fillies and mares, while there are three colts and 89 geldings. They include the aforementioned stakes performers, plus city winners such as Native Land, Avenue Of Glory, Beach Head, Now’s The Time, Bascule, Imaging and Shaf, which was victorious at Morphettville Parks last Saturday.

“Racehorse and broodmare sales in Melbourne traditionally deliver great results, driven by the presence of reductions in stock from some of Australia’s leading vendors. The catalogue is rich in variety and we are confident buyers will find what they are looking for,” said Inglis Victorian Manager Simon Vivian.
