2007 INGLIS AUSTRALIAN SELECT WEANLING & BROODMARE SALE NOW ON LINE

The 2007 William Inglis & Son Australian Select Weanling & Broodmare Sale catalogue is now online . The 287 weanlings and 988 broodmares make up a high quality six day sale on the back of the introduction of 0% commission on lots sold for $100,000 and above as well as no pass in commission.

The broodmare section of the sale comprises 70 stakes winning mares, a further 65 stakes placed mares and numerous dams of stakes winners. There are broodmares in foal to Australasia’s top commercial sires including Redoute’s Choice, Encosta de Lago, Flying Spur, Fusaichi Pegasus (USA), Rock of Gibraltar (IRE), Danehill Dancer (IRE), Choisir, Danzero, General Nediym, Commands, Zabeel and Anabaa (USA).

Also represented, with mares in foal, are sires (whose oldest progeny are yearlings) including Exceed And Excel, Falbrav (IRE), Lonhro and Reset. A vast array of first season sires to the breeding barn in 2006 are also represented including God’s Own, Snitzel, Stratum and Undoubtebly, all group one winning sons of Redoute’s Choice. The cream of the Australian sire register is again signified in the sale with weanlings by the previously mentioned leading proven sires as well as first season sires Al Maher, Charge Forward, Fastnet Rock, Lion Heart (USA), Niello, Shamardal (USA) and Elvstroem.

Day one will commence at 12 noon with 220 weanlings on offer with the balance to be sold prior to the start of the mares on day two. Also on day two, Old Deuteronomy (USA), a Group One placed son of Storm Cat will be offered as lot 288.

Days two - six will commence at 10:30am, with the format ensuring quality representation on each day of the sale. Vendors have been designated a specific day to sell their draft with the exception of the ten largest drafts including Coolmore, Widden and Newhaven which will be split across days two and five. Day five will also feature Woodlands’ annual reduction sale. Days three, four and six will each feature a host of numerous well bred and performed racing and breeding prospects to be offered by boutique farms.

Selling will commence on the Sunday 15 April and conclude Friday 20 April.
