Beautiful $50,000 Pay Day For Jessy In Melbourne

Friday night turned into a very profitable evening for the connections of Jessy Belle (Rock of Gibraltar x Unconditional Love) at Moonee Valley on Friday night, with the filly winning a $50,000 Inglis Race Series Bonus.

The filly won $21,000 first place prizemoney for taking out Race 3 on the card. But it was the $50,000 Inglis cheque attached to the MVRC TM Design Group Inglis Bonus that drew even bigger smiles from the owners, jockey and trainer Luke Oliver.

“This is a $35,000 race, but put an extra 50 (thousand) on top for the owners and it’s a fantastic result,” Oliver said.

Jessy Belle is now the winner of two of her five career starts, with Friday night taking her earning past the $75,000 the daughter of Rock of Gibraltar cost when purchased from the draft of Torryburn Stud at the 2012 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale.

The next event in the $5million Inglis Race Series is the $250,000 RL Inglis Classic back at Royal Randwick on Saturday 18 January 2014 – the day before the start of the 2014 Inglis Sydney Classic Yearling Sale Summer Book.

The $250,000 Inglis Classic over 1200m for two-year-olds is restricted to horses nominated into the Inglis Race Series that were offered at the Sydney Classic Yearling Sales.
