Bidding Opens on Coolmore Bushfire Stallion Auction

There has been a keen response on the first day of bidding on five nominations to Coolmore sires with all proceeds to be given to the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal.

A total of $251,000 has been bid on the opening day with the auction set to close next Monday at 5pm.

“The response to the first day of the auction has been very heartening, breeders across Australia are answering the call to the victims of the Victorian bushfires,” said Michael Kirwan, Coolmore Australia’s General Manager.

“The hope is that more bids will now come in and we can build on the momentum created today to make a difference to those who have suffered so much. I would like to personally thank everyone who bid today, and there were quite a few, your efforts are very commendable.”

FASTNET ROCK - $55,000 - Glemel Pty Ltd & Austramore Pty Ltd

HARADASUN - $30,000 - Mr. Anthony Mithen

ROYAL ACADEMY - $11,000 - Mr. Peter Collier

SPINNING WORLD - $5,000 - Colm Santry Bloodstock
