Classic Black Type Treble

The stakes races in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane today were each won in impressive style by graduates of the Inglis Sydney Classic Sale, continuing the Inglis dominance in Australian black type races this season.

I AM INVINCIBLE ($62,500 2006 Classic, 4h Invincible Spirit-Cannarelle) overcame a slow getaway to win the Listed Sir John Monash Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield when beating Inglis Easter graduate Gran Sasso.

Offered by Woodlands Stud at the Twilight session of the 2006 Classic Sale, I Am Invincible has now won three of his past four starts - including two at stakes level - for trainer Peter Morgan, with the lone defeat coming when he ran a bold second to the champion Takeover Target in the Group 1 Goodwood.

Another Classic graduate notching his second black type success this season was STRAT'S FLYER ($75,000 2005 Classic, 5g Strategic-Scot's Flyer), who proved too good in the Listed Winter Stakes at Rosehill (pictured).

A graduate of the Newhaven Park Stud draft, Strat's Flyer has won four of his past eight starts and is now the winner of more than $400,000 in stakes.

JACQUELINE ROUGE ($80,000 2005 Classic, 5m Ne Coupez Pas-Northeast Sheila) then completed a treble of stakes victories for Classic graduates when breaking a long run of outs to take the Listed Tattersalls Mile at Eagle Farm.

The mare had been racing very well in Queensland and was rewarded with today's all-the-way success, taking her overall record to six wins for earnings topping $400,000.

Jacqueline Rouge had been twice stakes placed prior to today, but enhanced her broodmare value considerably with this black type win.
