All yearlings offered as part of the sale are eligible for entry into the $2.6Million Inglis Race Series, which includes the $100,000 Inglis Challenge, open to graduates of this sale and the Inglis HTBA Scone Yearling Sale.

The Inglis Sydney Winter Sale has thrown up some high class graduates in the past such as Takeover Target who has been ably supported this season by Listed winners Happy Hippy and Atlantic Air.

"With the Australian Weanling And Breeding Stock Sale positioned at the end of June it affords the new look Winter Yearling and Racehorse Sale an opportunity to run immediately after on a Sunday to maximise the buying bench," said Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster.

"The stand alone Racehorse Sale worked extremely well at the end of November in Melbourne on a Sunday and we expect the same level of interest from buyers for the same concept here in Sydney."

"The introduction of this sale gives us two dedicated racing stock sales in June and November as well as giving vendors an avenue to sell their untried yearlings or two-year-olds.

"Furthermore this format will assist racehorse owners with a quicker process of turning over racing stock whether that be to local, interstate or overseas markets.

"These types of sales work extremely well in the Northern Hemisphere and it's a much needed service the tried horse market is looking for here."
