Entries Closing Monday For $250,000 Inglis Juvenile

The first race in the $2.6million Inglis Race Series for 2009 graduates will be run next Saturday at Moonee Valley, with nominations for the $250,000 Inglis Juvenile closing Monday morning.
This race was run for the first time last year and already has a flagbearer - with Starspangledbanner training on from that success to win the Group 1 $1M Caulfield Guineas last Saturday.
"Starspangledbanner has been a wonderful ambassador for the Inglis Race Series and it is great for his connections to see him go on to win at Group 1 level," Inglis Commercial Development Manager Matt Rudolph said.
"We've distributed plenty of bonuses and prizemoney around since then, which will be the case over the coming months with a busy schedule of races ahead in the lead up to Christmas."
Trainers are also reminded that nominations for the Sale Inglis Trophy, to be run on Sale Cup Day, Sunday October 25, close next Tuesday.
The Sale Turf Club will also offer a well bred two-year-old filly by Elvstroem x Terra Nova at that meeting. Sire Cam footage can be viewed here
This Saturday's Inglis Bonus Handicap (1600m) at Randwick, which has a $100,000 Bonus added to the original $70,000 Prizemoney, has attracted six eligible candidates in All Legal, Alright Already, Beaveroo, Excellent Point, Dance Idol and Moncalieri.
The $50,000 trainers bonus for the most series wins is still wide open, with Robert Smerdon the only trainer to have a double ahead of a large contingent who share one win each.
