Half-brother To Rain Drum Highlights Ready 2 Race Pedigree Updates

The inaugural Inglis Sydney Ready 2 Race Sale will be conducted this Thursday 3 October. A number of the quality offerings have received significant pedigree updates in recent weeks including the two-year-old half-brother to Rain Drum (pictured), which saluted at Group 2 level for Gai Waterhouse on Saturday.

Rain Drum's younger half-brother by Snitzel will be offered by Esker Lodge as Lot 74, amongst the outstanding drafts of young horses prepared over in New Zealand for the ‘select’ sale.

All drafts from Australia and New Zealand based consignors will be ready for inspection at Inglis' Newmarket sales complex from 9am on Tuesday. The sale will begin at 11am on Thursday.

Lot 44 – Northern Meteor x Conclude colt – half-brother to Born To Fly, which placed 2nd in recent Singapore Group 3 Committee’s Prize

Lot 74 – Snitzel x Gifted Spirit colt – half-brother to Group 2 ATC Shannon Stakes winner Rain Drum

Lot 88 – Exceed And Excel x Investment Grade colt – three-quarter-brother to now six time Japanese winner Tatsu Stinger

Lot 90 – Shaft x Katie Kerfuffle filly – half-sister to now dual Sydney metro winner Turnley

Lot 91 – Pins x Kims Coup colt – half-brother to Listed CJC Canterbury Belle Stakes winner Orovela

Lot 139 – Not A Single Doubt x Queen’s College colt – from a half-sister to Listed MVRC Mitchell McKenzie Stakes winner Cauthen

Lot 157 – Flying Spur x Stepping gelding – from half-sister to the dam of Group 2 MRC Thousand Guineas Prelude winner Gregers

Lot 181 – Oratorio x Danpegi filly – half-sister to Rose Of Choice, an exciting six time winner in Western Australia

The sires represented in the Ready 2 Race catalogue have also been running hot in recent weeks.

More Than Ready, the sire of Group 1 MVRC Moir Stakes winner Samaready, is represented by a stunning brown filly from Group 3 winning dam Permaiscuous in the catalogue.

The sires of other 2013/14 Australian Group 1 winners Streama (Stratum), It’s A Dundeel (High Chaparral), Zoustar (Northern Meteor) and Atlantic Jewel (Fastnet Rock) are also amongst many other proven and exciting young stallions represented in this week’s auction.
