Inglis Classic Autumn Book and HTBA Scone Yearling Sale Catalogues Online

The catalogues for the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale Autumn Book and the Inglis HTBA Scone Select Yearling Sale are now available, both of which can be viewed online at inglis.com.au and on the updated Inglis Sales iPad App.

209 Lots will be offered at White Park for the 2015 edition of the Inglis HTBA Scone Select Yearling Sale. The sale is conducted on Sunday 17 May, following the Scone Race Club’s two-day stand-alone carnival on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 May.

Leading Hunter Valley thoroughbred nurseries with sizeable drafts entered in the sale include Vinery Stud, Yarraman Park, Marquee Stud, Toolooganvale Farm, Sledmere Stud, Emirates Park, Widden Stud, Amarina Farm and Arrowfield Stud.

Middlebrook Valley Lodge, consigners of last month’s Listed Canberra Guineas winner Rom Baro, have a draft of eight yearlings for offer. A $12,000 purchase from the 2013 sale, Rom Baro (Time Thief x Gypsy Mai) has won three from five starts and earned his connections over $120,000 before recently being sold to Hong Kong interests.

Yearlings by Beneteau, Medaglia d’Oro, Choisir, I Am Invincible, Manhattan Rain, Not A Single Doubt, Star Witness and Time Thief will be offered, along with yearlings from the first crops of Sepoy, Foxwedge, Dream Ahead, Helmet, Smart Missile, Benfica, Jimmy Choux, Moshe and Pluck.

The Autumn Book of the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale has 94 Lots catalogued for sale on Friday 8 May, to sell at Inglis’ Newmarket Complex in Sydney. The new timeslot closely follows on from the Inglis Australian Broodmare and Weanling Sale earlier that week on May 3 to 6, making it more convenient for both vendors and buyers to attend.

Lady Jivago (Beneteau x Hussterics) was purchased from last year’s sale for $14,000 and has already earned her connections over $190,000 much thanks her victory in the RL ATC Inglis Classic at Rosehill in February this year.

“We wanted to be a part of the whole process so we came to the Classic sale and we were drawn to her [Lady Jivago’s] movement, we thought her legs looked like the sprinting type,” said part-owner Susan Crossan after the Inglis Classic victory.

At the 2015 Classic Autumn Book yearlings will be offered from the first crops of Dream Ahead, Master Of Design, Poet’s Voice, Zoffany, Sidereus, Arlington, Moshe, Pluck and Salade.

Vendors supporting the sale include Bowness Stud, Goodwood Farm, Macquarie Stud, Chatsworth Park and Think Big Stud.

The sale will be followed by the Inglis May Thoroughbred Sale, to be held the same day, for which entries will be accepted until 5pm Friday 1 May.

All yearlings offered through the Inglis Select Yearling Sale Series are eligible to be nominated for the lucrative $5 million Inglis Race Series.
