Inglis offer twelve month Internship in Bloodstock Industry

Inglis is pleased to announce that it is taking applications for the next Internship position with the company.

An excellent opportunity to gain an understanding of the workings of Australia’s number one thoroughbred auctioneering company will see the applicant spend 12 months gaining experience in all facets of the business.

Time will be predominantly spent within the bloodstock division of the firm, while the opportunity to work within the company’s marketing, leasing and insurance divisions, will offer this person a unique opportunity to build a succinct knowledge and thorough understanding of the running of a respected auctioneer/bloodstock agency.

Based primarily at Newmarket, Inglis’ Sydney base, the successful applicant will spend time with industry leaders, gaining an intimate understanding of pedigree and conformation evaluation which forms an integral part of the selection process for yearlings entered in the company’s annual yearling sale series.

A keen interest and understanding of the thoroughbred industry is desirable, with the candidate being able to demonstrate their ability to capitalise on this opportunity to make the transition to a future career path within the industry.

The successful applicant will be entitled to a generous living allowance, as well as being given the opportunity for interstate travel between the Sydney and Melbourne offices and throughout the breeding areas of New South Wales whilst yearling and weanling inspections are carried out.

Applications should be emailed to Jonathan D’Arcy jonathan@inglis.com.au no later than 8 July, 2011 and should include a current C.V. along with a covering letter explaining why you feel you are a worthy candidate for this internship.

Interviews will be conducted in the latter half of July 2011, with the commencement of the Internship set for early September 2011.
