August Sale This Friday Features Over 250 Lots

The 2016 Inglis August Thoroughbred Sale will begin at 10:00am this Friday, with supplementary entries taking the total number of lots to be offered to 258.

The complete catalogue is now available online at inglis.com.au and on the Inglis Sales iPad App.

Among the 73 supplementary entries are broodmares in foal to Reward For Effort and Foxwedge, yearlings by Dundeel and Kuroshio, plus race fillies and mares by leading sires Fastnet Rock, Sebring, Hinchinbrook, Dubawi and Encosta de Lago.

"There is certainly something for everyone at this week’s sale and with Spring just around the corner it’s an opportune time to pick up a racing or breeding prospect, of which there are plenty for sale," said Inglis Victorian Bloodstock Manager Simon Vivian.

A stallion parade of six Victorian First Season Sires will precede the start of the sale:
Dandino (GB) - Bombora Downs
Late Charge - Riverbank Farm
Nostradamus - Rosemont Stud
Ready For Victory - Sun Stud
Rock Sturdy - Stockwell Thoroughbreds
Trust In A Gust - Swettenham Stud

The auction then opens with 119 broodmares from vendors such as Bell View Park Stud, Blue Gum Farm, Contract Racing, Flinders Park Stud, Godolphin, Larneuk Stud, Phoenix Broodmare Farm, Stoneridge Park, Supreme Thoroughbreds, Swettenham Stud and Woodside Park Stud.

Following the broodmares are two stallion shares in Stratum, Fastent Rock stallion Iterate, nine yearlings, four unbroken stock, 77 race fillies and mares, plus 46 race colts and geldings.

The racehorse section features stake winners Guest Of Honour and Orator, the stakes placed First Bloom, Cloudscape and Chamarel, plus a large selection of city winners and lightly raced prospects.

Godolphin offer 11 lots of racing stock for sale including stakes performers Java and Orujo, plus Contract Racing are set to sell recent city placed gallopers Miss Cooper and Palace Tycoon.

Buyers wishing to utilise Inglis’ Online Bidding system for the sale must register HERE by 4:00pm on Thursday 18 August. Online bidders are encouraged to physically inspect horses before bidding online.
