Baker Aims Filly At Inglis Nursery

Bjorn Baker will use the GSSSA Winners Plate (1000m) as a launching pad to the $500,000 Inglis Nursery for unraced filly Too Fast For Love.

She’s by dual Cox Plate winner and Australian Horse Of The Year So You Think and her trainer says Too Fast For Love is over the odds at $21 in early markets.

“She can gallop this one but her manners haven’t always been the best,” Baker said. “There looks to be some handy horses engaged here but she has been working well and I give her a good show. She’ll go on to the Inglis Nursery at Randwick on December 12.”

And Baker knows a bit about the Inglis Nursery having quinellaed the race a couple of years ago with Fuerza and Twilight Royale.

“It’s a brilliant series that gives owners the chance of picking up exceptionally good prizemoney before they face the big guns in the autumn,” he said.

Baker will also saddle up Fun For Me in the event, who comes off a distant third at Kembla on debut. “That was over 900m on a soft track and I think she will run better on top of the ground and over slightly further,” he said. “She has race experience, which I think is so important in two-year-olds this side of Christmas.”
