The sale starts next Tuesday, April 12, and runs over three days.

The Easter Broodmare Sale has become the number one source for breeders wanting to breed champions of the future.

Both Black Caviar’s dam Helsinge and So You Think’s dam Triassic were purchased out of the 2005 sale.

The 2009 sale boasted the Danehill mare Watchful, which sold to Emirates Park for a mere $55,000. Watchful is now known as the dam of this season’s Blue Diamond-Golden Slipper winner Sepoy, now rated among the best two-year-olds of modern times.

A total of 600 mares were in the original catalogue, comprising outstanding race mares and proven broodmares, with all of the top stallions represented among the covering sires.

Highlights include Alinghi’s dam Oceanfast, Whobegotyou’s dam Temple Of Peace, Patronyme and dual Sydney Cup runner-up Divine Rebel, who are all being offered in foal to Fastnet Rock.

Redoute’s Choice’s Group 1 Toorak Handicap winner Allez Wonder heads a classy list of mares yet to go to stud, with others including last season’s G2 winning juvenile Willow Creek, fellow two-year-old stakes winner Sweet Cheeks, Floramour and Hurtle Myrtle.

The sale will be broadcast on Inglis Sale Day Live, with Online Bidding available for all buyers unable to attend the Newmarket complex next week.
