Massive 300+ Thoroughbreds In Melbourne March Sale On Friday

90 supplementary entries have increased the total number of lots catalogued for the 2014 Inglis Melbourne March Thoroughbred Sale to a massive 310.

With something for everyone the sale will be held at Oaklands this Friday 21 March. Selling will begin at the earlier time of 10:30am to accommodate the bumper number of entries.

Among the supplementary entries are racehorses Manor Lady, Auld Burns and Consecrate, which are all due to run at Sandown in Melbourne this Wednesday.

Other Sandown acceptors to be offered at the Inglis sale include Ollie Runs Riot and the stakes placed Darley galloper Union Gap.

Broodmare entries for Friday have been bolstered to 102 lots. Supplementary entries include stakes winner Eire Hostess and Hvasstan’s half-sister Miss Snowhawk (in foal to Smart Missile and with foal at foot by Wanted).

Yearlings include a Fastnet Rock half-brother to Group 1 winner Sleek Chassis and a Hard Spun half-sister to stakes winner Occidentalis.

Over 180 thoroughbred racing stock is set to go under the hammer at Oaklands. Entries include multiple city performers and two-year-olds by Reset, I Am Invincible, Snitzel, Lonhro, Shamardal, Bernardini, Magnus, Flying Spur and Wanted.

Darley have 40 quality fillies, colts and geldings in the racing stock section by sires such as Authorized, Commands, Exceed And Excel, New Approach, Strategic and Street Cry.

The entire 310 lot catalogue for the 2014 Inglis Melbourne March Thoroughbred Sale is available for viewing online at inglis.com.au and on the Inglis Sales iPad App.

Everyone interested in getting into racehorse ownership is also reminded about the Inglis Syndication Day to be held back at Oaklands this Sunday 23 March 2014.

The free event will showcase yearlings with shares starting from as little as $1,000. Printed catalogues will be available on Sunday.

Trainers Simon Zahra, David Hayes and Leon Corstens, plus star jockeys Chris Symons and Katelyn Mallyon will be available at Oaklands to chat to everyone.

Gates open at 10:30am with lucky door prizes, give-aways, and entertainment for the kids.
