Promising Winner Sold by Torryburn

Breednet - by Tara Madgwick - Wednesday, 23 September 2015

Charging home from near last to win at Warwick Farm on Wednesday was nicely bred Shamardal (USA) mare Kind Heart, a $160,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Astute Bloodstock from the draft of Torryburn Stud.

From the last crop of Australian conceived foals by former Darley shuttler Shamardal, Kind Heart was cherry ripe at her second run back from a spell and was able to overcome a wide gate to win the Benchmark 70 event over 1300 metres by half a neck.

The John Thompson trained mare runs in the familiar colours of Peter Horwitz and will no doubt look to work her way through the grades and chase Black Type in the future.

Bred and offered for sale by Torryburn, Kind Heart has won two of eight starts earning nearly $80,000 in prizemoney and is the fifth winner from five to race from Group III winner Natural Woman.

Natural Woman has foaled this spring producing a colt by Fastnet Rock's Group I winning son Your Song (pictured).
