Quality Supplementaries Boost Scone Sale to 171 lots

A total of 29 supplementary entries, highlighted by a number of extremely well related mares, have been received for the Scone Broodmare Sale, which will be held this Friday, August 28. The supplementary entries have been added online, taking the number of lots catalogued for sale to 171 in total.

Supplementary lots include Silver Moon, a half-sister to Chatelaine – the dam of this year’s Golden Slipper runner-up and leading Golden Rose contender Headway, and Treatmenice – the half-sister to Cox Plate winner El Segundo’s dam Palos Verdes.

Additionally, full or half-relations to stakes winners like Market Price, Paprika, Miss Helterskelter and Torumba have also been added.

The Supplementary catalogue also includes mares in foal to Nadeem, Wonderful World and Choisir.

“These are very pleasing new entries and it is shaping up to be a very good sale, given the quality of entries we had in the original catalogue,” Inglis Bloodstock Director Jonathan D’Arcy said.

The original catalogue includes an outstanding draft of entries from Kia Ora Stud including four fillies and mares by Redoute’s Choice as well as daughters of Encosta De Lago, Flying Spur and Red Ransom from highly commercial black type families.

“Vendors have really got behind this sale and it represents a wonderful opportunity for breeders to boost their broodmare ranks right on the dawn of the new breeding season and prospective buyers are sure to find a number of very appealing prospects this Friday,” D’Arcy said.
