Quality Youngsters Complete Breeze Ups at Cranbourne

The first group of breeze ups for the inaugural Inglis Sydney Ready 2 Race Sale were completed on the quality grass training track at Cranbourne in Victoria on Monday, setting an excellent benchmark for the remaining breeze ups at Canterbury and Avondale in the coming days.

“The preparers must be highly commended on their efficiency, presentation and professional manner in which their horses performed,” said Inglis Melbourne Director Peter Heagney.

In all 52 well educated two and three-year-olds worked on the Cranbourne Turf Club’s main grass training track on Monday.

The quickest time of the day was recorded by Nolen Racing’s colt by Hussonet from Mariner’s Court. Catalogued as Lot 105, the bay two-year-old stopped the clock at 10.55 seconds for his 200m timed breeze up.

89 lots will breeze up, many in pairs, on the grass at the Australian Turf Club’s Canterbury racetrack in Sydney on Tuesday from 10:30am. Full running sheet is available HERE

Leading consignors from New Zealand have also thrown their support behind Inglis’ select sale, with 25 lots due to breeze up on the grass at the Avondale Jockey Club from 11:00am on Thursday.

Everyone is welcome to attend the breeze ups at Canterbury and Avondale this week.

Breeze Up footage will be made available on several websites across the company, the Inglis Sales iPad App and on DVDs by next Wednesday 18 September.
