At Rosehill Gardens in Sydney, Australia's Champion 2YO Colt of 2007-2008 and Widden Stud sire Sebring (More Than Ready-Purespeed, by Flying Spur) added a Group success when enigmatic 4YO mare Scratchy Bottom (Sebring-Silk Veil, by Danehill) charged home along the inside fence to score by 0.2-length for trainer Mick Kent in the $150,000 Group 3 Epona Stakes (1900m) for 3YO+ f&m, over 4YO Kiwi mares Rising Romance (Ekraar-Post Romance, by Postponed) & Telepathic (Mossman-Telepathy, by Conatus).

This was the first stakes victory for Scratchy Bottom who took her record to 3 wins and 2 placings (including the Gr1 South Australian Derby & Gr1 SAJC Australasian Oaks) from 12 starts for $310,150 earnings.

Scratchy Bottom, who hails from the same family as Gr1 Rosehill Guineas winner Zabrasive, was a $120,000 purchase by Dermot Farrington Bloodstock at the 2012 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale from the draft of Reavill Farm.
