Silent Sets Up For Hong Kong Tilt

All Silent's love affair with Flemington continued when he made it four from four at headquarters in blowing away a crack field in today's G1 Patinack Farm Classic and he will now attempt to add his name to an elite list of Inglis graduates to win the G1 Hong Kong International Sprint.

The Grahame Begg trained ALL SILENT (P$280,000 2005 Easter, 6g Belong To Me-Lisheenowen) was a Group 1 winner on this day last year of the Emirates Stakes (1600m) but showed his versatility in reeling in some of Australia’s best sprinters in today’s 1200m weight-for-age event.

Few horses possess the finishing burst of All Silent and connections will be hoping he can replicate those brilliant sectionals in next month’s G1 Hong Kong International Sprint.

Inglis graduates boast a proud record in the HK Sprint, with the list of winners including inaugural winner Fairy King Prawn, two times winner Silent Witness, Sacred Kingdom and last year’s winner Inspiration.

All Silent is from the Semipalatinsk mare Lisheenowen, who was sold to Reavill Farm for $500,000 at the 2007 Inglis Australian Broodmare Sale.

She was carrying an Encosta De Lago foal at the time and Reavill Farm sold that colt to Anthony Cummings for $900,000 at this year’s Easter Sale.

Sadly, Lisheenowen died last month, soon after foaling a Redoute’s Choice colt.

“He’s one of the nicest foals you will ever see,” Reavill Farm’s Stud Manager Danny Swain said of the Redoute’s Choice colt.

“We were able to foster him onto a nanny mum and he’s 100% healthy.

“It’s a huge loss to lose a mare like Lisheenowen, because very few horses are capable of throwing two Group 1 winners.”

Lisheenowen is also the dam of the multiple Group 1 winning Danehill Dancer mare Private Steer, whose Starcraft filly sold for $450,000 at this year’s Easter Sale.

All Silent’s Group 1 victory completes another highly successful carnival for Inglis graduates, with each of the three major yearling sales represented by winners, in addition to a breakthrough G1 winner for the new Easter Part II.

Faint Perfume is a graduate of the Easter Part II sessions, while Road To Rock, Irish Lights and Headway were others to join All Silent as Easter Group 1 winning graduates.

Premier was represented by Caulfield Guineas winner Starspangledbanner and Turffontein, while Whobegotyou flew the flag for the Sydney Classic Sale.

The next Inglis Sale will be held at Oaklands next Sunday, with the inaugural Australian Racehorse Sale.
