Spring Thorougbred Sale

15th Sep 2005

The Inglis 2005 Spring Thoroughbred sale, held at Newmarket today, saw a strong demand for all classes of bloodstock, continuing the trend of the last 12 months.

122 lots sold with an average price of $4,000 and an impressive top price of $57,500 which was achieved for the race mare, Amazing Trace, by Marauding (NZ). The sale enjoyed a high clearance rate of 91%.

“Buyers from Hong Kong, Korea, Queensland, Western Australia and Victoria were all successful on the day. Well performed gallopers in the racehorse section were in strong demand and with the beginning of the breeding season now upon us, any filly or mare with a pedigree sold particularly well” commented, Inglis Executive Director, Jonathan D’Arcy.

The highly anticipated Inglis Ready To Run sale in Melbourne will be held at Oaklands on 31st October with the Breeze Up session being held at Moonee Valley Race Course on Sunday 30th October. The sale Catalogue will be mailed next week.
