Two More Breeding Stock Supplementaries

16th Jun 2008

Following on from the recent announcement of the Risdon Dispersal and last week’s classy supplementaries, the William Inglis Australian Weanling and Breeding Stock Sale has been further enhanced by two more important new lots, with both mares in foal to stallions standing at leading thoroughbred nursery Arrowfield Stud.

Last Tycoon mare TYRISES (ex Irises, by Tate Gallery), already the dam of brilliant stakes winning sprinters Taikun and Super Groove, is to be sold in foal to leading sire Redoute’s Choice.

She will be joined by young Thunder Gulch mare IMANA (ex Zarissa, by Zabeel) as a late supplementary entry. Winner of the Group 3 Birthday Card Stakes and stakes placed on another nine occasions, Imana sells in foal to Champion Sire Flying Spur.

"The addition of these two supplementary entries really solidifies this inaugural Inglis Australian Breeding Stock sale as one of exceptional significance,” William Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster said.

"We are delighted that our clients have entrusted us to sell such a fine array of broodmare prospects to suit any budget."

These two mares will join the latest inclusion of a small, but select group of quality mares to the June Breeding Stock Sale that will form a supplementary catalogue offered after Lot 508 - immediately prior to the Tyreel and Risdon Stud dispersals, to be sold on Sunday June 29.

The Australian Weanling and Breeding Stock Sale commences on Thursday June 26 with the 101 Lot New Sire Showcase, which is then followed by the Select Weanling Sale.
