William Inglis June Thoroughbred Sale-Day Two

28th Jun 2006

A buoyant days trading at Oaklands today saw two new sales join the top 5 lots at the second day of the Inglis June Thoroughbred Sale at Oaklands. The average price crept up to a pleasing $ 12,510 an increase of 20% achieved at last year’s corresponding session.

Stakes winning mare Rainbow Bubbles, in foal to Encosta De Lago maintains the position of top lot selling for $300,000 yesterday. Lot 712, Tyrani in foal to Rubiton and already booked in to Gods Own this year, sold for $140,000 to Ariel Arnott, NSW today. Casa Del Mar in foal to Elvstroem, fell to the bid of Glenlogan Park, QLD for $120,000.

Director, Peter Heagney said “competition was again keen today for the better credentialed mares and with an 85% clearance, the sale was better than we could have anticipated”.

Tomorrow will see over 300 horses offered including 38 from the Lloyd Williams reduction sale.
