Fundamentalist was top-class at 2, defeating subsequent G1 winner Amphitrite when breaking her maiden over 1200m and then subsequent G2 winner Music Bay when winning the Listed Dequetteville Stakes over 1050m, before finishing a close-up 3rd behind The Autumn Sun in the G1 JJ Atkins over 1600m.

Fundamentalist was also G1 placed on 4 occasions at 3, beaten 0.2 lengths when 2nd in G1 Randwick Guineas to The Autumn Sun and the same margin when 2nd in the G1 Thousand Guineas, as well as beaten just 0.1 lengths when 2nd in the G1 Surround Stakes over 1400m.

Her yearling colt by Divine Prophet realised $260,000 and was bought by Star Thoroughbreds to go into training with Champion trainer Chris Waller.
