The 2012 Inglis Sydney Autumn Thoroughbred Sale will be held at Newmarket on Friday, March 9.

87 lots covering all categories of racing and breeding stock will go under the hammer from 11am.

Avienus was purchased as an unraced three-year-old for $20,000 at the 2008 Inglis Sydney Autumn Thoroughbred Sale by Richard Anderson. The daughter of Reset has won $540,000 in prizemoney since, including a valuable Group Two victory.

The broodmare section includes daughters of Flying Spur, Royal Academy, Canny Lad and Street Cry plus stakes winner Sutton Review.

There is a good selection of racehorses in Friday’s catalogue including stakes placed Butt I’m Ready, city winners Apparitions and Pteryon, plus plenty unraced and lightly raced stock.

Printed catalogues will be available for collection at Newmarket from lunchtime on Thursday, March 8.

The sale will be broadcast on Inglis Sale Day live, with Online Bidding and Make-An-Offer available for those buyers unable to attend the Newmarket complex on sale day.
