Local buyers were very busy at White Park, but they had plenty of competition with yearlings sold to various regions of New South Wales plus the ACT, Northern Territory, Victoria and South Australia. Yearlings were also purchased by buyers for export to China and Hong Kong.

The sale also saw the debut of Australia's first female thoroughbred auctioneer, Stephanie Grentell.

Darby Bloodstock snapped up Group 2 winning juvenile Time For War from the 2013 Scone Yearling Sale and they were back in 2014 purchasing the top priced lot. Offered by Yarraman Park Stud as Lot 185 the colt by I Am Invincible from Flickering Fire was sold for $82,500.

Paul Perry was the leading buyer for the second straight year. Perry purchased four yearlings for $108,000 including Lot 39 Sebring x Off The Canvas colt from Glastonbury Farms for $52,500, the third highest priced lot at the sale.

Another yearling by Sebring sold for $56,000 to Victorian trainer Peter Morgan. The colt from Fast Leaner was offered as Lot 179 by Widden Stud.
