Big Catalogue Online For The Great Southern Sale

588 lots have been catalogued for the big 2014 edition of the Inglis Melbourne Great Southern Sale.

The three day auction will be held at Oaklands on 22, 23 & 24 June 2014.

Current racing season stakes winners Text ‘N’ Hurley, Broken, Cooldini, Spinning Jenny, Vima, Siwa Lady and Best Yet To Come are just some of the high class horses that were offered as weanlings from the Great Southern Sale.

268 weanlings have been entered for this year’s bumper sale. Lots 1 to 190 will be offered on Day One of the sale, while Lots 191 to 268 will be sold on Day Two.

Sires represented in the weanling section include All American, Artie Schiller, Bel Esprit, Choisir, Denman, Domesday, Equiano, Host, Hussonet, Lonhro, Magnus, Manhattan Rain, Nicconi, Northern Meteor, Not A Single Doubt, Reset, Reward For Effort, Sebring, Snitzel, Star Witness, Starcraft, Statue Of Liberty, Stratum, Stryker, Testa Rossa and Wanted,

First season sires with weanlings catalogued include Canford Cliffs, Foxwedge, Helmet, Ilovethiscity, Jimmy Choux, Master Of Design, Moshe, Poet’s Voice, Pour Moi, Sepoy, Skilled, Toorak Toff and Uncle Mo.

249 broodmares will be split over Day Two (Lots 269 to 418) and Day Three (Lots 419 to 517).

The third and final day of the sale will also feature stallions, yearlings, unbroken and racing stock (Lots 518 to 588).

Stallion prospects are Illustrious Blue, Manner Hill, Niconoise, Shinzig and Testafiable.

Stakes performed broodmares to go under the hammer include young Redoute’s Choice mare Rare Diamond (in foal to Wanted), Gathering Storm (in foal to Master Of Design), Swooper (in foal to Skilled), West Love (in foal to All American), Here For Glory (in foal to Smart Missile) and Anelene.

Among the many proven producers to be offered are the dams of stakes winners Uate, Blue Ribbon, Morgan Dollar, Swish Trish, Arbitration, Liberty Leader and Dan Baroness.
