89% clearance and a 48% jump in gross was achieved by Book Two of the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale on another glorious Autumn day at Newmarket. Trainers and syndicators from across the Eastern Seaboard competed for more than 80 yearlings, with the top price of $42,000 being reached by Lot 65, a son of Australian Derby winner Roman Emperor out of Group 1-placed Miss Meliss. The colt was offered by Princes Farm, the sale’s leading vendor by average and one of 16 vendors to achieve 100% clearance through the ring.
