Mark Webster, Managing Director of Australia's leading thoroughbred auctioneers Inglis, announced that Tabcorp's corporate bookmaking arm Luxbet.com will partner with the firm in a significant three-year sponsorship deal. Luxbet.com General Manager of Marketing and Media Stephen Brassel said: "The partnership between Luxbet and Inglis is an extremely important alliance which will ultimately benefit the overall health of the Australian racing industry. “Luxbet was launched by Tabcorp in September 2008 with a firm commitment to pay all race fields fees levied by the racing industry. Luxbet also currently intends making a discretionary payment of 12.5% of net profit back into the racing industries of both NSW and Victoria. “Through this partnership with Inglis we have the opportunity to reinforce the message that Tabcorp, through Luxbet has arrived on the corporate bookmaking scene for a very specific reason. “Owners and breeders are the lifeblood of the Australian racing industry. We will be working very closely with the Inglis team to get the message across that if owners and breeders intend betting with corporate bookmakers they should bet with Luxbet. “Two of the brand attributes of Luxbet are quality and luxury and with this being the case there is a perfect fit with Inglis which is the pre-eminent thoroughbred auction house in the Southern Hemisphere. “At Luxbet we will not be compromised as we work to become one of the leading corporate bookmakers and along the way we will be making a very significant contribution to the Australian racing industry." Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster outlined the many benefits the partnership will immediately bring to clients of the firm by adding: “Although it’s widely recognised that our sales set the standard for quality and entertainment, we are not complacent. With support from Luxbet we will now lift the bar even higher to provide our clients with access to unique, compelling and enjoyable experiences. “We also benefit in the knowledge that we are partnering with a brand and business that are determined to make a significant contribution towards funding prize money. We think this is important to the future of the breeding and racing industries.”
