$100K Inglis Bonus On Offer At Randwick Next Saturday

Royal Randwick will play host to the next leg of the Inglis Race Series, with a $70,000 Benchmark 80 Handicap over 1600m on Saturday October 17 to offer a $100K winners bonus to eligible runners. Trainers are reminded that nominations close on Monday.

The AJC Inglis Bonus 3yo Handicap on is one of just four races remaining this calendar year for the current 3yo crop of Inglis graduates, with all three previous bonuses having gone off this season. Hus Der Lieften and Carrara won $100,000 bonuses at Rosehill and Flemington respectively, while Sophrosyne took out a $50,000 Bonus in the Chatswood Vase at Seymour.

"The lucrative bonuses hold up well against what the three-year-olds are competing for in harder races at stakes level," said Inglis Commercial Development Manager, Matt Rudolph.

The inaugural series concludes with the running of next May's rich Inglis Guineas over 1600m at Scone, which already boasts a prizemoney pool in excess of $500,000, with any of the remaining bonuses not won continuing to jackpot onto that race.

"The Inglis Guineas is programmed well between the Sydney and Brisbane carnivals and we look forward to announcing the significant prizemoney pool after the last of the 15 series bonuses is run at Randwick on Villiers Day, December 19," Rudolph added.

The Villiers meeting will also mark the first running of the $250,000 Inglis Nursery for two-year-olds which is restricted to graduates nominated to the race series.
