2005 Aust Broodmare Sale - Day 2<br> Buoyant broodmare sale continues

Quality broodmares were again keenly sought after at the second session of the 2005 Australian Select Broodmare Sale. A further 196 mares were sold today for a total of $9,382,300 at an average price of $46,218. At the conclusion of today’s session, the overall gross thus far is $38,403,800 at an average price of $95,531, with a 90% clearance rate.

The session topper was Lot 286, It’s Who Deanie, purchased by astute bloodstock agent John Foote for $475,000. The stakes placed daughter of Fuji Kiseki is in foal to none other than the sire sensation Redoute’s Choice and was offered for sale by Yarraman Park.

“ Following on from the super strong Vinery Dispersal yesterday, there has been great competition today at all levels of the market,” commented Reg Inglis Managing Director.

The sale continues tomorrow with a further 290 horses on offer including 45 race mares and fillies.

Highlights tomorrow include: Ain’t Seen Nothin’, Classy Dane, Coco Cobanna (NZ), Klarissa, Sensational Spot, Sharp Aunty, Star of Gibraltar, Sybeel (NZ) and Sylvaner (NZ).
