2007 Autumn Thoroughbred Sale

This Friday, March 9, will see buyers next opportunity to purchase from a wide selection of racehorses, broodmares, yearlings and weanlings at the 2007 William Inglis & Son Autumn Thoroughbred Sale.

A main catalogue of 203 quality lots will be coupled with a supplementary offering of a further 97 lots containing numerous racehorses and broodmares.

Commencing at 11am, the sale will feature over 115 broodmares served by numerous stallions of the ilk of Carnegie (IRE), Over, Invincible Spirit (IRE), Beautiful Crown (USA), Diatribe and Keep The Faith. Add to this the Darley pair of Street Cry (IRE) and Untouchable, whose progeny so far to date have been extremely popular in the sales ring, providing five of the top seven lots at the recent William Inglis & Son Classic Yearling Sale.

Rosita’s Gem who goes through as Lot 21, has a positive test to Woodlands’ Group One AJC Doncaster winner Over. The resulting foal being a full brother to The Jonker, a winner of close to $750,000 in prizemoney from 22 starts. Another mare sure to create plenty of interest is Lot 72, Pimpala Gold. A half-sister to Group Two winner Pimpala Prince and Group Three winner Pimpala Son, Pimpala Gold has a colt foal at foot by Street Cry (IRE) and has an October service to Danehill’s (USA) son Untouchable.

The racehorse section includes the stakes placed Danewin gelding Mr Aristos ( Lot 191), a winner of over $240,000 and Set Up, a Group One placegetter in the QTC Queensland Derby. Add to that the city winning Zabeel (NZ) gelding Attainable ( Lot 168), Redoute’s Choice entire Redoutablemperor ( Lot 169), multiple city winner Sooth Sayer (NZ) ( Lot 171) and Hole In One ( Lot 190), a half-brother to the Listed winning, Group One placed Down The Wicket. With such an extensive line up, the racehorse section is sure to provide buyers on all levels with some excellent opportunities.

The supplementary catalogue features 60 lots in an Unreserved Dispersal Sale of Glen Argyle Grove and can be obtained from the William Inglis & Son office from Friday morning. The supplementary and main catalogues are now available online.
