2007 May Thoroughbred Sale

8th May 2007

The 2007 William Inglis & Son May Thoroughbred Sale takes place this Friday, May 11 at Newmarket, commencing at 10:30am.

A main catalogue comprises 138 lots, with a further 29 entries in the supplementary catalogue. Weanlings, yearlings and unbroken stock, will join over 50 mares and 50 racehorses.

Highlights include Lot 34, the Alanbridge Stud as agent offered Boots ‘N’ Blue, a half-sister to Saturday’s Listed STC Civic Stakes winner Flaming. Boots ‘N’ Blue is in foal to Beautiful Crown (USA), making the resultant foal a three-quarter relation in blood.

An extensive racehorse section sees many well credentialed gallopers, such as:

  • Lot 103 - Kanetoshi King, burst onto the scene as an early 2YO in devastating fashion;
  • Lot 107 - Watsons Bay, metropolitan placed half-brother to Group One winner Charge Forward;
  • Lot 116 - Laud Atlas, multiple city winner of nine races and over $166,000 in prizemoney;
  • Lot 120 - Windon, eight time winner and $143,480 in earnings highlighted by the Muswellbrook Gold, Casino and Wauchope Cups;
  • Lot 121 - Marscay’s Image, city winning son of Marscay, a proven performer with seven wins and $120,800 in earnings;
  • Lot 123 - Flashing Eagle, lightly raced, having recorded two placings from two starts, clearly indicating his ability.

The supplementary catalogue will be available from Friday at the William Inglis & Son Newmarket office, while both the main catalogue as well as the supplementary catalogue are now available online.
