2008 William Inglis & Son Internship

The Directors of Australia’s leading thoroughbred auctioneering company are pleased to announce that applications for the 2008 William Inglis & Son Internship will now be accepted.

An excellent opportunity to gain an understanding of the workings of William Inglis & Son will see the applicant spend 12 months gaining experience in all facets of the company.

Time will be predominantly spent within the bloodstock sector of the firm, while the opportunity to work within the company’s marketing, leasing and insurance divisions, will offer the this person a succinct knowledge and thorough understanding of the runnings of a respected auctioneer/bloodstock agency.

Based primarily at Newmarket, Inglis’ Sydney base, the successful applicant will spend time with industry leaders, gaining both an intimate understanding of pedigree and conformation evaluation which forms an integral part of the selection process for yearlings entered for the 2008 auction series.

A keen interest and understanding of the thoroughbred industry is desirable, with the candidate being able to demonstrate their ability to capitalise on this opportunity to make the transition to a future career path within the industry.

The successful applicant will be entitled to a generous living allowance, as well as being given the opportunity for interstate travel between the Sydney and Melbourne offices.

Interviews will be conducted in November with the commencement of the Internship set for early January 2008.
