220 Lots In The Melbourne March Thoroughbred Sale

220 lots of racing and breeding stock have been catalogued for the 2014 Inglis Melbourne March Thoroughbred Sale to be conducted at Oaklands on Friday 21 March.

Beginning at 10:30am the one day auction will offer 92 broodmares. Yearling and unbroken stock will follow then 109 race fillies, mares, colts, entires and geldings.

Broodmare entries include the dam of Group 1 winner Mental, plus stakes placed daughters of Thunder Gulch, Rory’s Jester, Bluebird, Desert Sun and Luskin Star.

Covering stallions include Al Maher, High Chaparral, Statue Of Liberty, Wanted and first season sires such as Bullet Train, Delago Deluxe, Glass Harmonium and Mulaazem.

Eliza Park International, Blue Gum Farm, Emirates Park, Riverdene Stud, Bowness Stud, Salamander Park, Townsings Lane Farm, Supreme Thoroughbreds and Cherokee Rose Stud all have good size drafts of breeding stock entered.

Darley have entered 40 quality fillies, colts and geldings in the racing stock section of the March Sale. They include young racehorse by Darley’s stallions Authorized, Bernardini, Commands, Exceed And Excel, Hard Spun, Lonhro, New Approach, Reset, Strategic and Street Cry.

Other racing stock entries include stakes winners Proverb, Heaven’s Riches and Uate plus multiple metropolitan winners such as Valid Contract, which took out a 1300m event at Sandown on Wednesday.
