149 fillies and mares were sold on Day Two of the 2012 Inglis Australian Easter Broodmare Sale in Sydney on Wednesday, adding another $3,354,200 to the sale gross.
There was plenty of action at Newmarket on the better credentialed offerings, with online bidders having a fruitful day when taking home 23 lots.
120 lots have received an online bid so far at the sale, with Online Bidding and Make-An-Offer available for those buyers unable to attend the Newmarket complex again tomorrow.
The top price recorded today was $200,000 for Zabeel mare Asmahan. In foal to Magic Albert the daughter of New Zealand Oaks winner She’s Country was sold by Glenn Burrow's Willow Park Stud to Colm Santry Bloodstock.
Pendragon three-year-old The Peak has taken Hong Kong racing by storm this season, and as such there was plenty of action around for his close relation Katsumi that was offered by Yarraman Park Stud as agent. In foal to Duke Of Marmalade the Galileo mare was eventually knocked down for $120,000 to Damon Gabbedy’s Belmont Bloodstock.
