$50,000 bonus winner chosen at Wagga

For the fifth consecutive year the $50,000 Inglis Race Series Bonus placed on the open two-year-old event on the Murrumbidgee Turf Club’s Wagga Town Plate Day has gone off, this time to the Bede Murray trained filly Chosen Song (pictured as yearling).

Chosen Song ($35,000 2012 Classic, 2f Choisir-Blue Mink) was given plenty of time to find her feet settling towards the back of the field at her second career start. Given a rev up coming around the home turn she flattened out and finished over the top of placegetters Asunder and Power Alert.

The daughter of Choisir collected $11,360 first place prizemoney, a $5,000 BOBS Bonus and a $50,000 Inglis Race Series Bonus for the victory in the 2YO Inglis Bonus Handicap over 1200m.

The winnings take Chosen Song’s earnings past $70,000, which is twice her yearling sale price. An encouraging start for her owners; Mrs R King, J O'Brien, G Leigo, M Hobbs, C Brennan, P Munro, J Howle & Murray Livestock Pty Ltd Syndicate.

Bred by Mr RM Daisley, Chosen Song was sold from the draft of Fairview Park Stud at the 2012 Inglis Sydney Classic Yearling to trainer Bede Murray for $35,000
