$550,000 Inglis Race Series Prizepool This October

Inglis is set to offer $550,000 to two and three-year-olds entered in the Inglis Race Series this month, starting with a $100,000 Inglis Bonus on the Open 3yo Sprint over 1000m at Caulfield on G1 MRC Thousand Guineas Day.

Open to all three-year-olds, a $100,000 Inglis Race Series Bonus will be paid to the winner of the 1000m event on Wednesday October 13 should they be nominated to the Inglis Race Series.

Hot on the heels of the Caulfield Bonus, another $100,000 Inglis Race Series Bonus will go up for grabs on the Benchmark 75 Handicap for three-year-olds over 1600m at Randwick on Saturday October 16. Last year the $25,000 yearling sale purchase All Legal took home $142,000 for his connections when adding the Inglis Bonus to the first place prize money, over five times his purchase price.

The first race in the $2.6million Inglis Race Series for 2010 yearling sale graduates will be run at Moonee Valley on Cox Plate Day, the newly renamed Inglis Banner. A $250,000 race restricted to two-year-olds nominated to the Inglis Race Series, the formerly named Inglis Juvenile has been renamed in honour inaugural winner Starspangledbanner.

The final Inglis Race Series event for this October will be the running of the Inglis Trophy at Sale on Sunday October 25th. Won by the Hawkes Racing trained Dissolved last year, the $100,000 0-82 Handicap over 1400m is restricted to three-year-olds nominated to the Inglis Race Series.
